Der neue Fraktionsvorsitzende Dieter Lengemann dankt Ulrike Gottschalck für Ihre Arbeit

Bürgermeister Dieter Lengemann aus Fuldabrück wird künftig die SPD-Kreistagsfraktion leiten. Er wurde mit 32 Stimmen ohne Gegenstimmen bei einer Enthaltung in geheimer Wahl zum neuen Vorsitzenden gewählt. „Dieter Lengemann hat bereits in der letzten Legislaturperiode als stellvertretender Vorsitzender bewiesen, dass er mit Kompetenz und diplomatischen Führungsstil prädestiniert für diese Aufgabe ist“, erklärt Ulrike Gottschalck, seine Vorgängerin im Amt. Um eine so große Fraktion zu leiten, müsse man Fachwissen, Bürgernähe und Autorität verknüpfen, um erfolgreich zu arbeiten und sie sei sicher, dass Lengemann das leisten werde. „Ich bin sehr beruhigt, dass ich auf eigenen Wunsch nach acht Jahren Vorsitz in die zweite Reihe gehen kann“, so Gottschalck. Erstens habe ich einen hervorragenden Nachfolger gefunden, zweitens sei „frischer Wind“ immer gut und drittens habe ich durch neue Aufgaben eine erhöhte Präsenzpflicht in Berlin.

Nach seiner Wahl bedankte sich Dieter Lengemann bei der nun stellvertretenden Fraktionsvorsitzenden Ulrike Gottschalck für deren ausgezeichnete Arbeit. Sie habe persönlich immer hart „geackert“ und die Fraktion mit einem guten Teamspiel aufgestellt, aber auch jede Abgeordnete und jeden Abgeordneten ordentlich gefordert. „Gemeinsam mit der Fraktion, mit Landrat Uwe Schmidt und Vize-Landrätin Susanne Selbert will ich mein Amt nutzen, um die Wünsche und Forderungen der Bürgerinnen und Bürger in den Kreisgremien in konkrete Politik umzusetzen“, so der neue Fraktionschef.

Als stellvertretene Vorsitzende wurden Ulrike Gottschalck, Timon Gremmels, Brigitte Hofmeyer, Trudi Michelsen, Dirk Stochla und Aline-Brit Westphal gewählt. Komplettiert wird der Vorstand um die Geschäftsführerin Anette Milas und den Kassierer Sebastian Keese.

I agree. We are a service deepatmrnt and we need to politely give this service by phone and in person. Our customers are everyone who calls or comes to see us. Answering the phone or interacting face to face politely and in a professional manner has to be taught and then expected of everyone. Let's look at why SPD is a stepping stone. Hard euisxathng work, no respect, and very little pay. Hmmm why would anyone want to leave. I found out from one of my employees to come to SPD from House Keeping they had to take a reduction in pay. At my hospital their is a House Keeping Supervisor for days and a Lead House Keeper for nights, we have no official supervisor in SPD. Fixing the issue is paying our SPD Techs more and advocate thier importance. One last thought our SPD Techs have to be certified yet our OR Techs do not another hmmm moment?

I agree completely. Until holsitaps realize that the OR's success is directly linked to the success of the SPD, I feel that this will continue to be the norm and not the exception. However, you will find that some of your hardest working, most dedicated folks are long time SPD technicians. This line of work is difficult, both physically and mentally. Those that stick with it are often individuals with a strong work ethic and a desire to help patients come through surgery successfully. I pray that the day comes when the current trend of using the SPD as a sprinboard comes to an end, but it will take perseverance to see that through!

I do like training our staff from EVS or osduite and having them advance themselves through certification. We've hired certified O.R. techs but they still needed to be trained and to study and pass SPD certification. O.R. techs are not trained SPD staff and can't just jump in and do well. They have some basics but not enough to do the job, especially if they are right out of school. The big thing is they never stay, they do go to the O.R. ASAP. I do understand, but it hurts us. We're already seeing a shortage of certified SPD to be hired. I like training and keeping the best, and maybe someday they'll decide to go on to school, good for them. O.R. techs already have their schooling and their path to the O.R. planned and in motion. It's just on hold waiting to get there.
